Terms of Service

The short version: memberships renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your Account page, and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. We don't give refunds for partial periods. The stats and projections are for fun and information, not guarantees. Please don't share your login or republish the data.

These terms cover your use of CFF Data Dawgs (cffdatadawgs.com), including the members site, memberships, and anything we email you ("the Service"). "We" and "us" means CFF Data Dawgs. By creating an account or buying a membership, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Accounts and signing in

You sign in with a link we email you, so keep access to your email account secure. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to buy a membership. Each membership is for one person. Don't share your account or sign-in links with others.

2. Plans and billing

• We offer free access plus paid plans (currently Data and Pro), billed monthly or yearly. The price and what's included are shown on the Plans page and at checkout before you pay.
• Automatic renewal. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) at the then-current price, and your payment method is charged at the start of each period, until you cancel.
• Introductory and founding prices apply for the period stated when you sign up. After that, the plan renews at the regular price shown at checkout unless you cancel first.
• Price changes. If we change the price of your plan, we'll email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, so you can cancel first if you choose.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Prices are in US dollars. You're responsible for any taxes that apply.

3. Cancelling

You can cancel anytime from the Account page on the site (which opens Stripe's secure billing portal), or by emailing cffdatadawgs@gmail.com. Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again.

4. Refunds

Payments are non-refundable, and we don't give refunds or credits for partial billing periods or unused time, except where the law requires. If you think you were charged by mistake, email us within 14 days of the charge and we'll make it right.

5. Free memberships and promo codes

We may offer free or discounted memberships or promo codes. Each comes with the terms stated when it's offered, can't be exchanged for cash, and may be withdrawn if it's misused.

6. How you can use the Service

Your membership is for your own personal, non-commercial use, such as your own fantasy teams and leagues. You may not:

• share your account, or resell or give away access to it;
• copy, republish, sell or redistribute our data, projections, rankings or charts in bulk, or use them to build a competing product or dataset;
• scrape the site or access it with bots or other automated tools;
• try to get around the sign-in, paywall or other security measures.

Sharing a screenshot or a few numbers with your league or on social media is fine. Please credit CFF Data Dawgs.

7. The data, projections and rankings

Statistics come from CollegeFootballData.com and other public sources. Shares, dominator ratings, projections, rankings and Prospect Scores are our own calculations. College football data has gaps and errors, and projections are estimates that are often wrong. Everything on the Service is for entertainment and information only. It is not a guarantee of results, and not betting, financial or other professional advice. Decisions you make based on it are your own.

8. Our content

The site, its design, text, charts, calculations and logos belong to CFF Data Dawgs, except for underlying third-party data and team names and logos, which belong to their owners. Team names and logos are used only to identify teams. CFF Data Dawgs isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the NCAA, any conference, school or team, or CollegeFootballData.com.

9. Newsletter

Our free newsletter is published on Substack, and Substack's own terms and privacy policy apply to your subscription there.

10. Changes and availability

We're always adding, changing and sometimes removing features. We try to keep the site running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or updated on a particular schedule. Data updates depend on outside sources that can be late or unavailable.

11. Ending your access

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms (for example, a shared account or scraping). If we close your account without a good reason under these terms, we'll refund the unused part of your current billing period.

12. Disclaimers and limit of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To the fullest extent the law allows, CFF Data Dawgs isn't liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for losses in fantasy leagues, contests or bets. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is significant, we'll email members or post a notice on the site before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, that means you accept the new terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
